A Pub with History,
An Ambiance to Remember
The 1747 Pub is in the original kitchen of William Reynolds’ tavern. It has stone and brick walls, walk-in fireplaces, low ceilings, brick floors, and the original stairwell from the 1747 construction. In the 1930s, the space was used as the Children’s Library for the Anne Arundel Public Library System.
The Pub is a daily spot for lunch, dinner, happy hour, or drinks with where guests get a glimpse into history.
The Pub
You’ll find great colonial pub fare and libations available at the pub, and during the warm season you can enjoy these in our outdoor courtyard space; we also offer live music, movie screenings, and colonial era reenactments from the Classic Theatre of Maryland.

The Courtyard is located directly behind Reynolds Tavern, with its entrance on Franklin Street. The space is greatly tree-shaded kept to William Reynolds for its touring guests.
When you visit, take a look at the old Smoke House behind the sub-divider bar since 1747, and the Old Magnolia tree that sits in the corner of the property.
